Discover the Alchemy and Artistry of Distillation at the Rebel City Distillery. With a Gin and Tonic in hand, enjoy a guided tour of the Rebel City boutique craft distillery. Surrounded by the beautiful aromas of Indian botanicals learn about the process of distillation in this landmark building and finish with a choice of tasting from any Rebel City Distillery Spirit. Guided Tour is in English.

Hysterical Histories Comedic Dinner Theatre Event:
Hysterical Histories is PURE CORK. This must-do, inimitable comedy theatre experience is a high-octane, laugh-out-loud adventure that is unlike anything else in Ireland, or around the world! Written and delivered by established professional Irish actors, this jam-packed performance celebrates all things Cork within one of Cork’s historic buildings. Over two hours, discover the highlights of Cork’s 1500-year history and become acquainted with a county full of quirky characters, their habits, humour, and language. Enjoy local Cork food and drinks, served up with live music and plenty of personality as you engage with the actors. Leave with a belly full of food, a warm feeling in your heart and a new skill, having learned how to “speak Cork.”

This is a fully-functioning distillery nested in the Old Ford electrical transformer building. The building was built in 1917 and has lain dormant from 1984 -2020. The building can be cold during winters as the building was not built to retain heat. Warm clothing advised.

The botanical flavors of Kerala, India are organically grown by a cooperative, then distilled in Cork, to produce unique gin, vodka, and absinthe.

ben w2024-04-13A unique tour in a unique historical location for a unique gin. A unique place in cork! The amazing vibe from the building comes from the great artistic and Indian decoration, as well as from the owner herself (who was our guide). The tour is a mix of fun historical quizzes, observation skills and spices discovery. It’s a great activity to do with family and friends. The gin, the absinthe and the vodka are all great and flavourful. No wonder they won some awards!

I'm always keen to find something new whenever I come home and this tour is right up there with the best of them so far. Bhagya was a great storyteller and we hugely enjoyed learning about their inspirations for creating all their spirits and the importance of blending both their backgrounds to create something uniquely Cork. Tastes pretty good too! Definitely recommending to anyone who's travelling to Cork!

It was very informal and the tour guide(also part owner of the distillery) spoke with passion and knowledge about Cork and the distillery, by explaining the history of both. The tasting session was very good and I left knowing a lot more about Gin and its origins. Would definitely recommend a visit.

La mejor que hemos probado nunca, sin duda. La visita guiada es muy recomendable y necesaria para conocer en profundidad la producción y la historia de la destilería. Cuando conoces a Baghya y a todo el equipo no solo te enamoras de lo que producen, adoras también la historia que hay detrás. El buen trabajo, la responsabilidad y el compromiso se notan y mucho. Be it for a distillery tour, spirits tasting, cocktail competition, there is always something fun going on. TheirMaharani gin is amazing and the owner Bhagya is great at story telling and has a great energy, she will make you feel welcome.

She told us a lot about the History of the distillery and it all works. All spirits were really good but we absolutely Loved the Gin. Thank you for the great experience.

The building itself is already worth a visit. Lots of history and authentic details from its previous purposes still remain today. On top of that the distillery has cleverly added details and art to that. Make sure to go here, if you have the chance.

She gave us a very informative talk on the history of the place, how the company started and the making of the gin. We are all now experts on gin and making cocktails 🍸 and tasting them. Everybody went home very very happy. Would highly recommend this distillery for an event.
