The name Maharani is a tribute to the women of Kerala, known for their strength, resilience, and importance in society, and to women everywhere. For us, Maharani symbolises revolutionary Kerala rebel spirit, powerful female figures, and female empowerment.
That connection runs deeper than the name alone. Our signature spices are ethically sourced from a female-run spice cooperative in Kerala, India, where our co-founder is from.
This makes Maharani not only a celebration of flavour and craftsmanship, but also of herit
age, community, and the strength of women at every stage of the story.
